Kevin Chasing Wolf Hutchins has been
creating art all of his life. In his mid-twenties
he began a spiritual exploration that led him
to his Cherokee ancestry. Totemic images of
animals and native peoples filled his drawings
and his dreamtime.
In 1997 Kevin was guided to move from his
hometown of Memphis, Tennessee to the
desert mountains of Phoenix, Arizona.
Spending much of his time up north in
Sedona, he met and began studying with a
traditional native teacher.
As he grew with the teachings and
ceremonies, Kevin felt a responsibility to
express his non-ordinary journey through
painting and storytelling. His dreams, visions
and native studies embue his artwork with
a sense of wonder and awe.
The artist now resides in Woodstock, GA,
just north of Atlanta, where he continues
his adventures into the mystery of life. |
